A Spooky Surprise!

It was a dark and stormy night. The moon was gone by clouds, and the only light came from glowing stars. Children were tucked safely in their beds, but deep in the woods, something spooky was about to happen. Suddenly, a big beast with glowing eyes peeked out from behind a tree. He had long teeth and furry skin.

"Boo!" he yelled. Other monsters emerged from the trees, all shouting "Boo!" at the same time. They were having so much joy scaring each other! One little monster was shy. He didn't want to say "Boo!" because he thought it would be too frightening. But then, a big beast with a kind smile said, "Don't worry, little one. It's just for fun! Let's all say 'Boo!' together." And so they did, laughing and having a great time on this spooky Halloween night.

A Friend the Friendly Ghost

It all started one sunny afternoon. I was playing in my room when I heard a funny noise. It sounded like someone was laughing just outside my door. Curious, I slowly crept over and opened through the keyhole. There, standing in my hallway, was the most wonderful sight!

It was a medium-sized ghost with small eyes and a smiling face. "Hello," it spoke. "My name is Wilbert, and I'm your new friend!"

I was so amazed that I could barely speak. But then, I started to smile because his tone was so kind.

We became the best of friends. The ghost would often come in my room and we would play together. He even taught me how to levitate!
